But Margaret, Emma’s mother, had never approved of Daniel.<\/p>\n

“Daddy?”<\/p>\n
Daniel immediately knelt beside her.<\/p>\n
“Yes, sweetheart?”<\/p>\n
“Did Mommy know you were alive?”<\/p>\n

He looked at Rose.<\/p>\n
