Weeks before filming on\u00a0The Practice<\/i>\u00a0was scheduled to begin, Fonda was driving along the Pacific Coast Highway when her car lost control, flipped over an embankment, and tumbled downhill. The interview took an unexpectedly strange turn when she was asked whether she had ever lived with a dangerous stranger like the roommate portrayed in the film. Fonda explained that her own roommate had been her best friend since childhood, saying she trusted her with her life and had been lucky never to have a “roommate from hell.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

But she then revealed an unsettling story from her younger years: someone she knew had once impersonated her.
